“Operation Garden Plot talks a lot about the Continuity of Government. The Continuity of Government is a concept where those in power are going to protect themselves against you,” explains Command Sgt. Major Dan Page in an August 22, 2014 Sheridan Lowrey YouTube video titled, “US President’s & Congress’s Treason Exposed by Retired US Army Ranger Command Sgt Major Dan Page.” According to Page, who infamously highlighted as a St. Louis County police officer, “And every time you do something they don’t like – they become more oppressive. When you find out they become more oppressive, you do something. It keeps ratcheting up, we’re all being funneled.”

“We’re not very far away from an event that’s going to bring what you call martial law,” explains Page earlier in the lecture to a group of Oath Keepers. “That term will never be used by the way, emergency police powers will be.”

All but describing the events to take place nearly a decade later during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Page isn’t the only high profile military figure to come forward with their vision of a dystopian future.

“Former Lt. General Thomas McInerney has come out on the record alleging that treason against the nation is taking place surrounding the presidential election,” explains NTD News’ Kevin Hogan in a December 5, 2020 YouTube video titled, “Trump Reacts to Video Showing Poll Workers Pulling Out Boxes of Ballots, Gov. Urges Signatures.”

“He says the attempt to steal the election from President Trump is the largest cyber warfare activity in the world. McInerney says there are two groups involved, both the foreign states of China, Russia and Iran as well as U.S. citizens.” According to McInerney, “‘this is six to ten states bonding together to manipulate their data to take control of the U.S. government and the chief executive officer – the Commander-in-Chief. So this is not anything to be taken lightly, it’s not dirty politics or tricks. It is treason by the very nature against the United States government and the people of America.’

“A cyber security expert signed an affidavit saying TV news stations reported the counting stopped in five swing states the morning after the election,” explains Hogan as the report continues. “He calls this ‘highly unusual’ and says it may indicate prior coordination, but says they did not stop counting and did so behind closed doors; demonstrating collusion to get the results they wanted in secret. General McInerney outlines a five-fold plan for tackling for what he calls a national emergency. ‘Initiate the Insurrection Act, declare martial law, suspend habeas corpus and set up military tribunals. Those are the things that must be done in this emergency, it is a national emergency of whether we are going to continue forward as a democratic republic or go into a totalitarian society.’”

Information, which although originating from the first Trump administration increasingly appears relevant in 2025 as one-by-one the Generals talking points appear to be materializing in real time. The groundwork set for deporting Tren de Aragua gang members simultaneously smoke screening the administrations true intentions as they test the boundaries of executive authority.

“The martial law portions of REX 84 were outlined in a 1982 memo written by FEMA Deputy Col. John Brinkerhoff. Martial law was to be declared in the event of a ‘national crisis,’ yet the plan did not define the term ‘national crisis,’” explains the narrator of a March 6, 2010 YouTube video titled, “Rex 84 FEMA Camps | Continuity of Government.”

According to the report, “The plan allowed FEMA to take control of both federal and state governments, appointing military commanders to replace duly elected officials. The plan also called for the rounding up of at least 21-million ‘American Negroes’ for delivery to numerous military bases converted into prison centers – also known as FEMA relocation camps.”

Also known as “The King Alfred Plan,” elements of the urban legend varies depending on the source but all versions of the story seem to revolve around the same basic idea of American citizens being interned in prison camps under military control. Closely related to Operation Garden Plot, our more astute readers will no doubt be experiencing a sense of déjà vu while immersing themselves in the current events and news of the day as elements of the plan continue to unfold publicly.

“Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, the mayor of the largest city in New Jersey, was arrested Friday and detained by masked federal immigration police when he went to a newly reopened private, one thousand bed Immigration and Customs Enforcement jail called Delaney Hall,” explains host Amy Goodman in a May 12, 2025 ‘Democracy Now!’ YouTube video titled, “Newark Mayor Ras Baraka Arrested for Visiting ICE Jail, Slams Trump Admin’s ‘Insane’ Abuse of Power.”

“He says he was there to support three Congress members set to tour the facility – Bonnie Watson Coleman, LaMonika McIver and Rob Menendez,” continues Goodman. “Newark Mayor Baraka says he was asked to leave the premises and did so; he’d gone to the other side of the fence, the Newark public property side, away from the Congress members, was on a public street when he was seized by officers in a chaotic scene.

“Meanwhile, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson accused the New Jersey Congress members at the scene of assaulting ICE officers – warned they may still face arrest.”

The arrest of Mayor Baraka coming on the heels of the arrests of both Judge Hannah Dugan in Wisconsin and former Judge Jose Cano and his wife in New Mexico on immigration related charges. All but confirming the worst fears of those who initially warned against the dangerous slippery slope being initiated in this country; what originally started with Tren de Aragua bogeymen has quickly devolved into a variety of individuals targeted by the Trump administration.

“I know you have to go but I want to just get you to respond to a very ominous moment right before you were arrested,” explains Goodman as she moves to wrap up the interview with Baraka. “It was on Friday with White House official Stephen Miller saying he’s looking into, that the Trump administration is looking into suspending habeas corpus, which protects people from unlawful detentions.”

“This is completely insane and it is a scary moment in the history of this country as we watch democracy slip between our fingers,” explains Baraka. “I think that because Trump was elected and there’s still a process, we still have this separation of powers that people believe that the separation of powers is going to fix this. This is not being fixed. People are watching this take place as authoritarianism becomes the rule of the land here in this country. And we need more voices and more people to stand up against this. Suspending habeas corpus is something that happens in a time of war, to relate this to war, it is definitely, definitely scary. It means we are in an existential threat here and we need to stand up and do something about this immediately.”

Highlighting exactly what kind of existential threat may be on the horizon and echoing the concerns of independent researchers for years whose suspicions all but fell on deaf ears; a recent report from The Guardian may be a harbinger of things to come for the American people.

“The huge U.S. Army base of Fort Bliss at the Texas-Mexico border is poised to become a deportation hub under plans proposed by the Trump administration – prompting an outcry from critics as it once again becomes a focal point in the immigration debate,” writes author Lorena Figueroa in a March 8, 2025 article titled, “Texas Army Base Poised to Become Mass Deportation Hub Under Trump Plan.”

“Situated in the heart of El Paso, the base has already been used by Donald Trump since he returned to the White House to fly deportees on military aircraft to Guantanamo Bay and Central and South America amid intense publicity around his wider anti-immigration agenda,” explains Figueroa. “Now it is reportedly being considered for large-scale detention as well as expulsion purposes.”

In times of great uncertainty; stepping back to the future can often times yield results where conventional means fall short. With a constitutional crisis looming in the United States, it’s entirely possible the suspension of habeas corpus is the next step in the mass incarceration process of a cross section of the U.S. population as a number of high profile individuals may soon find themselves the subject of military tribunals. While the future may be impossible to determine, open source information suggests that what was once thought unimaginable could soon become a very real possibility to those able to see the forest for the trees. The veil of an immigration crackdown a proverbial Trojan horse concealing the administrations true intentions as they test the limits to presidential authority. Operation Garden Plot serving as little more than an itinerary for the Continuity of Government operations; “where those in power are going to protect themselves against you.”
